exhilaration provided by music from their parents. Fiddle, cello, accordion, singing, piano, and step-dancing all find a voice on stage to celebrate the season.

It’s not really Christmas until McDermott sings.” - Toronto Star

Rounding out the shows is an annual tradition for the holiday season, a Family Christmas special from Canada’s most cherished tenor, John McDermott. He’ll be performing seasonal favourites, alongside hits from his illustrious career. John will be joined on stage by Mark Lalama on keys, Jason Fowler on guitar and Charles James on bass, along with added special guests Dala. Since the beginning of his musical career, McDermott has recorded more than 25 albums, three of which have gone platinum while another has reached double platinum status, and yet another achieved a triple platinum ranking. He formed a strong link with the holiday season through the release of several popular holiday albums, including Christmas Memories, Home for Christmas, A Traditional Christmas and Sharing Christmas. For many Canadians, it’s not really Christmas until John McDermott sings, and Niagara will once again have the chance to hear him do just that on Dec. 17 in Partridge Hall. Both performances are part of the Critelli’s Celtic Series. Critelli’s Furniture will be collecting donations for the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre during the holiday season and offering $200 off any Stressless chair for any arts donation of $50. - Melinda Cheevers NiagaraThisWeek.com
