IT SLEUTHS EXPECT `450 CRORE UNACCOUNTED INCOME IN MANGALAM RAID!

Jaipur (FIB): Is the Mangalam Group witnessing ‘bad days’? The IT Dept has conducted raid for the third time on Thursday and according to sources, the department hopes to unearth undisclosed income. Raids were conducted in group’s establishments in Jaipur’s Banipark, Vidyadharnagar and Jhotwara as construction firm linked to Mangalam Builders was raided along with other associate companies. Notably, about three weeks back Mangalam Group was raided and nothing much was found then. According to sources, a few days after the raid, when ‘relevant documents’ were brought to the ‘HQs’ from some place else, where they had been kept ‘secured’, an informer alerted the IT Dept about it & department got hold of an important pen drive as a result of which IT sleuths have caught documents of black income of more than Rs 450 cr from the group and as a result, raids were conducted on premises linked to businessmen BM Aggarwal, Umesh Aggarwal & Arjun Rebari.

Along with this, information about revenue leakage in State will be obtained from various sources & probed. Work related to monitoring all sources of revenue and preventing tax evasion will also be done.

For this, one post of Director General/Commissioner, four posts of Additional Director, 10 posts of Joint Director, 20 posts of Deputy Director will be created in the Directorate. These posts will be filled by deputation. In addition to these, Chief Accounts Officer, Deputy Legal Consultant, Junior Accountant, Analyst-cum-Programmer, one post each of Programmer, Legal Assistant, two posts of Assistant Programmer, 5 of Information Assistant, Senior Clerk, 12 posts of support staff, 24 posts of junior clerk and 10 posts of vehicle driver will be created.
