meticulous craftsmanship and concentrated minimalism. The rear deck in wood veneer is the largest wooden surface ever produced by Rolls-Royce. The rear section is the only aerodynamically functional wooden surface on a new car.

Precious amethyst gemstones are incorporated both inside and outside. This marks the first time a brushed and polished finish has been applied to the Pantheon grille, inspired by high-end watchmaking, paying homage to the client's Vacheron Constantin timepiece.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars presents the RollsRoyce Amethyst Droptail - a breathtakingly sculpted masterpiece that celebrates the client's cultural heritage, family legacy, and personal passions. One of only four unique examples of the RollsRoyce Droptail, the Amethyst Droptail is a true embodiment of applied art, commissioned by a patron whose family business has evolved from a gemstone boutique to a diversified multinational enterprise.

n avid traveler and a well-established patron in the realm of arts, the client boasts a collection of precious jewelry, significant luxury cars, and contemporary artworks that are housed in a privately commissioned museum. The client tasked the Coachbuild designers with crafting an elegant expression of the Droptail, inspired by the amethyst gem – the birthstone of their son and a enduring symbol of purity, clarity, and resilience; themes deeply explored throughout this exceptional vehicle. The client's passion for silent art and subtle touches defines the Amethyst Droptail, a testament to true craftsmanship that rewards those who study it with enchanting details. The Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail was unveiled to the patron, their family, and friends at a private event in Gstaad, Switzerland – a region of special significance to the patron.
The patron and co-creator of the Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail expressed a profound desire to celebrate the cultural heritage of their native region. Rolls-Royce's Coachbuild designers responded by proposing an inspiring element that would define the exterior treatment of this Droptail: the wildflower Globe Amaranth, which grows in the desert near one of the patron's residences. The two-tone body finish captures various stages of the flower's bloom. The primary body color is a soft shade of violet with a delicate silvery hue, aptly named Globe Amaranth in tribute to the flower, enhanced with fine aluminum powder particles that reflect light and create a captivating iridescent finish. A contrasting Amethyst paint in deep purple, used on the upper part of the body, incorporates a blend of red, blue, and violet mica flakes that together create a unique shade of purple with subtle metallic brilliance.
Under the sunlight, the car also reveals a subtle hint of mauve paint on the inside of the 22-inch rims, providing a subtle yet elegant contrast with the mirror-polished aluminum surface – a detail that the client likened to the colored lining of their favorite bespoke jacket. The exterior is finished with a subtle yet highly intricate treatment of carbon used to construct the lower portions of the car.

The result of two years of development, the brand's artisans have created a chevron pattern running along two axes, adding a geometric embellishment to the technical exterior surfaces of the Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail. The carbon itself is coated with a thin layer of lacquer tinted with an amethyst pigment, which under most lighting conditions is perceived as the body color.
This intricate and technically demanding detail remains concealed until the car is meticulously examined, a testament to the client's passion for subtlety and restraint. The client's trust in Rolls-Royce artisans to execute the most demanding ornaments is evident in the treatment of the Pantheon grille. The outer frame of the grille and the "kinked" elements are partially hand-brushed and partially hand-polished, with a precise line demarcating each finish - a surface treatment that had never been attempted on this scale before.

he concept was suggested by the client's son, a connoisseur of high-end horology, who was inspired by the brushed hands of a historically significant piece in his collection. Achieving perfect uniformity of finishes, as well as the sharpness of contrast between finish types, required over 50 hours of collective work. Beneath this extraordinary expression of contemporary craftsmanship lies a complex lower front air intake. This highly detailed piece was digitally designed and "printed" in a lightweight composite, and it incorporates 202 stainless steel ingots meticulously hand-polished, each of them painstakingly hand-painted in the Globe Amaranth hue. The front is adorned with a Spirit of Ecstasy figurine surrounded by amethyst cabochons. The treatment of the cabochons, where a gemstone is shaped and polished into a rounded form rather than faceted, was requested by the client to avoid overly flashy brilliance. This subtle detail harkens back to the client's early involvement in the gemstone industry.

The Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail celebrates the carefully chosen materials and craftsmanship of the client and their family. The material selection began with a wood sample provided by the client - a beautiful open-pore Calamander Light wood, featuring a complex texture and long bands of color. The colors from the client's initial wood sample served as inspiration for the car's leather treatment - the gently contrasting leather, in a wisely named "Sand Dunes" shade, was developed to perfectly match the caramel streaks of the open-pore Calamander Light wood. Following that, wood specialists were challenged to find a material with streaks of the same color as the leather, a task that took over six months to resolve, involving the examination of over 100 logs before the perfect piece was discovered. The primary leather color, named Amethyst, complements the exterior surface and is finished with a subtle pearl lacquer, evoking the gemstone's shimmer after which the car was named. For the Amethyst Droptail, Rolls-Royce has created the largest wood surface in its history, extending from the car's dashboard and doors to the shoulder panel, the cantilevered central armrest, and the rear deck.

y applying wood to the aerodynamic rear deck, the brand's aerodynamic experts and wood specialists collaborated closely to experiment not only with the panel's shape but also with the different wood grain textures and the precise angle of veneer placement. The result is both an extraordinarily artistic masterpiece and the only "raw" wood surface in the world that generates downforce on a new road car.
A completely new veneering process was specially developed for the Amethyst Droptail, with each veneer sheet placed upside down to expose the raw wood texture. Two techniques are combined: the 55-degree bookmatching, where wood sheets mirror each other, and slip-matching, where wood sheets are aligned side by side in sequence, creating a repeated grain pattern for an organic and natural effect that gives the illusion of a single piece of wood. To ensure that the Amethyst Droptail can be appreciated by its client in a variety of climates around the world, the interior wood pieces were subjected to the same rigorous strength standards as the exterior pieces. Before its final construction, over 150 samples underwent more than 8,000 hours of testing. This included a full sun exposure simulation and an evaluation of resistance to rain, as well as durability tests at temperatures ranging from +80°C to -30°C. The protective coatings for the deck, specially developed for the Amethyst Droptail, received their own patent.

o complete the interior treatment, the client requested an elegant addition:
adorning the rotary dials with rare amethyst gemstones. Just like the gemstones at the base of the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, they are also cut in a convex cabochon style rather than faceted. The entire interior is
complemented by woven leather carpets - a subtle homage to the traditional weaving
crafts that have been found in the client's native region for centuries. A removable hardtop was designed to give the Rolls-Royce Droptail two distinct characters: without its roof, the Droptail is an elegant convertible roadster, and with the roof installed, it transforms into a striking and dramatic coupe. The roof incorporates electrochromic glass, allowing the surface to change color and transparency instantly. The client challenged the Coachbuild designers to develop glass that would change its tint to match the color of the Amethyst Droptail. In response, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective created a unique chameleon effect for its electrochromic glass: when deactivated, it is completely opaque and has a slight purple hue, reflecting the car's exterior amethyst finish.

nce the glass is activated with a simple touch of a button, it becomes translucent with a hue that matches the "Sand Dunes" leather color used in the interior. Achieving this extraordinary ornament required specialists to experiment with 60 iterations of glass color before finding the perfect
match.
The dashboard of the Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail is adorned with a unique watch commissioned by the client from the renowned Swiss high watchmaking house, Vacheron Constantin. Handcrafted in Geneva, the model, named "Les Cabinotiers Armillary Tourbillon," features a complex manual-winding movement and is securely housed in a specially designed holder, allowing it to be removed and stored separately from the car if needed. The watch includes a bi-retrograde display with instant hour and minute retrograde, as well as a bi-axial tourbillon. Vacheron Constantin and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars collaborated closely to ensure that the shapes, materials, and colors of the watch seamlessly harmonized with the car. The instrument dials combine amethyst-colored inserts with the partially brushed and polished finish of the watch hands.
The watch is mounted on a white gold base plate with a handcrafted sunburst guilloché pattern. This extraordinary expression of the Rolls-Royce Droptail is a testament to the client's passion for subtle details, playfully yet meticulously incorporated into one of the most historically significant Rolls-Royces ever built. It also represents the brand's capabilities not only to bring such a clear vision to life but also to skillfully harmonize heritage, modernity, and soul.

he new 750S is the lightest and most powerful McLaren production car, boasting the best power-to-weight ratio in its category, delivering 587 hp per tonne (Coupe version, dry weight), a 22 hp advantage over its closest competitor. This new V8 rear-wheel-drive supercar takes the exceptional traits of the renowned 720S to new heights. Through a meticulous analysis of its predecessor, which has always set the benchmark, approximately 30% of the components are either new or have been modified, making the 750S more powerful, lighter, faster, and even more enticing and engaging. The carbon fiber monocoque structure plays a fundamental role in reducing the vehicle's weight. The 750S is 30 kg lighter than the 720S (DIN) and has a dry weight of just 1,277 kg, which is 193 kg less than its closest competitor. Features like carbon fiber-shell bucket seats and the lightest factory-fitted wheels ever on a McLaren contribute to the weight reduction.

The upper structure in carbon fiber and the Retractable Hard Top (RHT) composite roof allow the Spider version to weigh only 49 kg more than the Coupe. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo gasoline V8 engine now produces 750 hp and 800 Nm of torque; the 7speed transmission has been revised to optimize acceleration. The performance is astonishing: 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 2.8 seconds; 0 to 200 km/h (0 to 124 mph) in 7.2 seconds (the Spider in 7.3 seconds), faster than its closest competitor. Enhanced aerodynamic support and even better balance than the 720S.
The new interior is even more driver-focused and sets new standards for interaction with screens and controls. The new instrument cluster, positioned around the driver and mounted on the steering column, equipped with toggle switches to control Active Dynamic settings, is a McLaren innovation that allows you to change suspension and propulsion modes without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Apple CarPlay comes as standard, along with USB-C and USB-A ports for quick device charging. The exclusive McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) feature allows the driver to save their preferred settings for aerodynamics, handling, propulsion, and transmission and select them with a simple press of a button.

The centrally mounted exhaust, inspired by the McLaren P1™, provides a distinctive new engine sound that crescendos. The new generation of McLaren's renowned hydraulic suspension, the PCC III, makes its debut on the 750S, with custom-tuned accumulators, new ultralight springs and dampers, and revised geometry, delivering even greater agility, feedback, and response.
The famous McLaren electro-hydraulic power steering system has been refined with a faster steering ratio and the introduction of a new assistance pump. A new version of the track brakes is available, combining ceramic discs and monobloc calipers from the McLaren Senna, along with a new booster and a new vacuum pump. The new lifting system, controlled by a single button, raises the front of the car in just four seconds, which is less than half the time of its predecessor and faster than any other McLaren. The exceptional levels of driving pleasure, precision, agility, feedback, and responsiveness that the 750S offers are immediately noticeable to the driver, even at low speeds, with its low weight being a key factor in its dynamic performance. Weighing only 1,389 kg (DIN), it is 30 kg lighter than a 720S, a clear example of McLaren's commitment to lightweight engineering. This performance-oriented innovation philosophy is exemplified by several features, such as the carbon fiber-shell bucket seats that are 17.5 kg lighter than the standard seats in the 720S.

The new ultra-lightweight 10-spoke forged wheels are the lightest ever fitted as standard on a McLaren and save 13.8 kg. The new instrument cluster is 1.8 kg lighter, and even the windshield glass contributes to weight reduction, with a saving of 1.6 kg.
