About Us

We are a funeral support company based in Carmarthenshire, Wales! We provide a variety of services to Funeral Directors and Families around the United Kingdom. Many years ago, whilst striving to get back into the funeral industry, I realized there was opportunity for this type of business to grow and become a valuable service! ….. Years passed when the company was merely an idea, and towards the end of 2020 during the Covid period, we realized it was now or never!

After sorting things out, consulting with a few people for assistance and advice, arranging finance, and locating our equipment, we were finally ready for service!

During our time in business, we have had the honor of assisting many families and funeral directors, and we pride ourselves in conducting our company with openness! There are no hidden costs! Service that is caring, professional, and dignified!

How our service costs work

All of our services have a predetermined Service Fee for each of our options, which includes a 30-mile allowance from our base (SA20).

Our services do not include any thirdparty fees (such as tolls or doctor's fees etc.); they will be added to the final invoice with no additional admin fees.

Anything over 30 miles will be charged per mile, which varies by service.

We only charge mileage one way! We do not charge for miles returning to our base. All details can be found on our website www.funeralservices-uk.com

First Call Service

When a loved one passes away, our team of two uniformed First Call professionals will arrive at the home or care facility with a fully equipped private ambulance on behalf of you, Funeral Directors.

With dignity and care, we will transport the deceased to the chosen Funeral Directors premises or allocated mortuary while collecting all relevant information about the person.

Funeral Directors can call us last minute, and if we have a team available, we will accept the duty. Alternatively, you can book us to cover a chosen date, which will not incur a cost unless we are called out. For 24-hour coverage, you can book us for a fee, and we will not accept any other duties during this time. One of the many services we offer is First Call Assistance, where we work with your staff to transport the person who has passed away from their location to the funeral home.

We can provide our own equipment and vehicle, or we can accompany your staff in their private ambulance.

We provide compassionate and professional support to the families, your staff and your business.

Our mortuary transfer service includes a two person crew to collect the person who has passed away from any location within the UK, whether it be a mortuary or another place of rest.

Our team will transport the loved one with the utmost care and respect in our fully equipped private ambulance to any destination within the UK. We understand the importance of timely transfers and will work closely with you to ensure that your requests are met.

Cremated Remains Transfers

As a funeral business, we understand the importance of ensuring that loved one's remains are transported with the utmost care and respect. That's why we offer collection and transportation of cremated remains from any location within the UK to any other location within the UK.

Our uniformed staff will use our private ambulance to complete the journey in a timely manner, ensuring that your loved one's remains are handled with dignity every step of the way.

** For transportation from or to Scotland, different duty fees apply

Our Vehicle

At present we have our purpose-built Coleman Milne Private Ambulance which is used to provide all the services we have to offer in a dignified, professional, caring and discreet manor. This vehicle is fully insured, well maintained, clean to the highest standard and fitted with a Coleman Milne Deck to ensure safe/ secure transportation of the deceased we bring into our care.

We keep our vehicle well stocked with all disposables needed for most situations, due to covid this also includes

• Full Gowns (When required)

• ID Bands

• Fabric removal sheets

Care Centre Facilities

When required we have access to care facilities in two locations, one in Wales and one in England should they be needed any time of day or night.

If this service is required there will be a small additional charge per 24 hours, please get in contact with us for more information.

Associate Members of Which means we keep up to date with the latest changes within the funeral sector, we receive regular online CPD courses and we strictly follow the BIFD’s code of Ethics
