DAY NIGHT

The front side of the graphic (visible by day) can be printed normally.

TECHNICAL INFO FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER CLP – CITYLIGHT POSTER

Image resolution

Ideally between 300 to 400 dpi. Fonts must be included or converted to vectors (outlines). All data must be in CMYK.

Image size

If the image is intended for the entire poster area, it should be 13997 x 20670 pixels if 300dpi are considered.

How it works:

• The graphic must be printed 2 times. The front side can be printed normally while the back side must be mirror-inverted.

• During the day, when the light in the advertising medium is off, you will only see the motif on the front side.

The back side of the graphic (visible by night) must be mirrored.

Warning! This graphic must be perfectly mirrored in order to guarantee the right output effect

• At night, when the backlight is on, the light shines through all the layers (paper or the given material) and gives the image the extra density needed for the backlight. This is how you get to see the “hidden” subject.

How to do it:

• he graphic on the front should be made with bright colours or even completely white in the places where you want the colour from the back to come through.

* It is recommended to make the rest of the space contrasting, so that the graphic does not appear too bright during the day and is perceived as illegible or faded.

• On the reverse side, on the other hand, you can emphasize contrasting and saturated colors exactly where you want the color or, if necessary, the motif to penetrate, thereby changing the graphic on the front side or emphasizing it in the desired places.

Tips and tricks:

• Play a lot with contrasting colours e.g.: White/ black or white/colour

• Use full and empty shapes
