189 Years of Service In the 82-year history of the North Massapequa Fire Department only three active firefighters have served 60-or-more years. Ex-Chief Fred Penna has served 69 years, while ex-Commissioner Jackson Pokress (right) has served 60 years and Fire Police Officer Angelo Piccolo has served 60 years. North Massapequa Installation The North Massapequa Fire Department held its 82nd annual installation dinner at the Hamlet Country Club in Commack. (Left to right): New York State Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino; 1st Assistant Chief Joseph M. Pesale; incoming Junior Chief Frederick J. Ferrara; Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph G.
