SANDRINGHAM Campus Compass Award

This year, 30 dedicated and determined Year 5 and 6 students participated in The Compass Award. It is a program of discovery and adventure for students aged 10 to 14 years and is modelled on the International Framework of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. The Compass Award is designed to develop goal setting and life skills to enhance the development of the individual child.

The program fosters positive attitudes towards learning, whilst building an environment for positive engagement and interaction between young people, schools and family members. The students are involved in setting their own goals in four different sections, making connections with the community and putting steps in place to achieve their goals.

The Wizard of Oz Jnr Musical

One of the highlights of a Junior School is when all students from Prep to Year 6 perform together in the biennial School Musical. This year Miss Lisa Sheppard skilfully directed The Wizard of Oz Jnr. Highlights included quality acting and singing, brilliant staging, costumes and props. It certainly was a wonderful whole school event.
