COMPANY VALUES

1.Uplifting Underrepresented Communities

A goal of our publication is to interact with and support members of under and misrepresented communities and people. Our garments allow for people to feel their truest self and we want to represent that aspect of the brand in our writing. Shedding light on social issues our customers face allows for us to understand each other better as consumers and as people.

2. Clothes Have No Gender

One of the most important values of Giorgiandrezza is clothes not being designated to any specific sex or gender. Clothing is created for the shape of the body it is meant for, rather than the sex of the wearer. Our customers do not need to wear clothing that identifies them outwardly as one gender for the comfort of those around you.

3.Quality Over Quantity

In clothing and in writing, the quality of a piece far exceeds the the amount produced. All garments are handmade in Italy using Italian fabrics, making each piece one of a kind. The clothes are a modernized version of the old custom made to order. In our writing, we strive to have primary and secondary sources exclusively, with first person accounts and interviews.

4. Everyday Sustainability

Sustainability is a word that is often thrown around by brands, for us sustainability covers our workers, sourcing, material choices and waste, chemical and water management. As a magazine, we are exclusively digital, cutting out excess waste in paper while also being able to reach a wider range of people from around the world.

WOMEN IN THE CHESS WORLD

necessary. Mentally, we are more similar than physically but that doesn’t mean inequalities don’t exist.

Being a woman in a male jjjjj dominated field is both complicated and common It has become of women due to centuries of male oppression more normal than anyone realizes men have never experienced hot and women are so used to the concept that it has almost become a part of everyday life.

One of the most common places this divide can be found in the world of competitive online sports. Most sports are divided by gender from the start, as there are different physical advantages each gender holds hwqfiuwdqpsia

inequalities faced are on the side of women due to centuries of male oppression over the other

With online sports being such a new phenomenon there is less emphasis placed on gender divides, and without the need for physical competition it isn’t

Many of the issues we see in the divide between men and women are driven entirely by society We see women as being less capable when it comes to mentally challenging or testing tasks, from the classroom to the workplace to leisure and sport. A woman who reads philosophy for fun is seen as the “cool girl” by men Rather than society assuming she is interested in the topic for her own enjoyment, masses of people think this

interest in masculine things that population poser, but a man man is getting loyalty to the band but a woman random people will always be the The structure women in chess men’s perception girl.” The woman as capable because she isn’t in it for herself, she is looking for the approval of one man or many. This is simply not true for most women playing. To be skilled enough to play a real game of chess is going to take time, whether that is learned from a young age or in adulthood Most people aren’t picking up the game in a matter of minutes to spark interest from someone new. And women can have masculine interests!

But what about media portrayal of women in chess? Is that beginning to change society’s perception of women in hhh

places they previously didn’t belong? One of the biggest titles as of recent was the Netflix original The Queen’s Gambit, based on the novel of the same name, authored by Walter Tevis This show both exposed new people to the world of chess,

normalizing the idea of traditionally male environment. We see our main problems that a woman who throughout the show, looked down on by predominantly male, other struggles she day life, aside a female lead is nothing new, but one who is shown as strong and not exclusively doing something masculine for male attention is still uncommon. The idea of the “manic pixie dream girl” still dominates film and television

While Beth is not the first character to overcome that standard, she is a notable one. We have certainly come a long way since the dawn of chess’ existence, but there is a long way to go still. The sport continues to reflect the inequalities women have to face day to day, and likely will continue down that path for the foreseeable future.

SHOPPING IN BERLIN

Germany has slowly made a name for itself in the hhhh fashion industry for their strides in sustainability. The center of this movement would have to be Berlin, a metropolitan city in northern Germany, and the capital of the country. Germany was greatly affected by the Second World War and the Cold War, with Berlin being at the center of all of it. The city’s infamous split between East and West came to an end in 1990 and since then, strides towards reestablishment in fashion and making an impact have been made.

Berlin attracts many tourists from all over Germany and Europe, whether it be for their infamous

vintage shopping. Berlin overall has some of the best priced thrifting for a major city in Europe of course there will be some pricey outliers, but overall, the price is fair.

But where do you begin? Stores are scattered throughout the city, both on the west and east sides, and are often in clusters with multiple being within a block of each other There are also a couple of chains to keep your eye out for, such as PickNWeight Vintage Kilo Store, ReSales Secondhand & More and Humuna Second Hand & Vintage. There are also a variety of one offs for every style and genre, making it possible for everyone from the punk to the cyber chic to the business casual fashionista to shop second hand.

Some stores you might want to keep in mind while in Berlin are Loretta, Garage, Souer, Paul’s Boutique, Sing Blackbird and Trash Schick to name a few.

As far as designer goods go, you might be on a bit more of a hunt They will appear everywhere, but in general, the more exclusive the shop, the better condition the products. You’ll either be doing some digging at somewhere like a Kilo Shop or researching online where to go for specific brands or pieces

However, finding a unique piece is possible at any store from the most cost efficient to the higher hhh

. previous owner, handmade crochet goods ready to find a new home, or a pair of shoes you have never seen before. Whether you’re looking for your new go to purse, a nice blazer or jacket, or something for a special event, the vintage and thrift stores of Berlin will have you covered. It may take a little bit of searching but in the end, it will all be worth it

This all begs the question, why vintage shopping? For starters, it is one of the best ways to support the fashion industry while being conscious of the environment. You are still able to collect pieces that are new to you, but not new to the production cycle. Along with this being better for the environment, garments you pick up while thrifting will usually last you longer. Older pieces are more likely to be made with more care ad better materials, after all, those are oooo

the pieces that are still around after decades of wear. The majority of what we are seeing in everyday stores now is fast fashion, cheaply made garments produced in unfair conditions. One of the simplest ways consumers can fight back is through purchasing away from that mindset.

Berlin isn’t the only place secondhand shopping is becoming more popular, this is a worldwide phenomenon. But Berlin offers something special from other cities in the range of customers they can service. Everyone can find something perfect for them in Berlin, at the right price and in their own unique style

So, what are you waiting for? For your next trip abroad make a stop by Berlin to experience a unique culture, unforgettable history and incredible
