“We provide an opportunity for a unique and exciting career where students can learn more about Trichology (hair loss) studies, hair replacement services and hair extension services,” explains Ledarney. Students are taught 12 methods of unique installation and hair replacement types. These natural looking methods are safe for all hair types. Ledarney adds academy students are currently looking for clients who will allow them to train under the close supervision of their instructor. For a reduced fee, guests of the academy receive top quality services while students are given the opportunity to advance their craft. “This gives everyone the chance to benefit from our services,” she notes. The Extensionist Academy and Service Studio is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Moving Forward This could have been a tragic tale of bullying, defeat, self-loathing and failure, but Ledarney would have none of that. Her courage and determination helped her reach beyond social stigmas and she has become a leader and an innovator who has travelled the world studying her craft. Presently, she is the nation’s first hair extensionist/master trainer to be recognized and receive insured credentials from the International Accreditation Organization (IAO) recognized by the New York State Department. What’s ahead? For Ledarney, the sky’s the limit! She looks forward to one day opening salons all across North America that will specialize in the advancement of no-damage hair extension techniques.
