merican Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) is a not-for-profit provider of senior living and healthcare. Founded in the 1930’s as an organization serving retired Baptist ministers, ABHM has since evolved to meet the needs of an ever-growing and changing senior population. For more than 85 years our ministry has addressed the needs of residents and the greater communities we serve by empowering older adults and providing choices for housing, services and technology, with a holistic approach to wellness that enriches body, mind and spirit. The ABHM of today has seven senior living communities in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin and serves over 1,200 people on a daily basis. Our communities offer housing and healthcare services that range from independent and assisted living apartment homes to short-term rehab, skilled nursing and memory care. In the past four years the Harold W. Kleinpaste Nursing Scholarship has been awarded to eight exceptional individuals.

Transformational, or Planned Gifts to ABHM have supported the development of the Francis Henry Health Center in Muskego, WI, the Sondergard Memory Care Center in Harlan, IA and the Gangwish Chapel in Omaha NE.
