We also added French doors and a glass Juliette balcony to the master bedroom, installed a beautiful new kitchen and added a conservatory, which brings in the lovely views. We’ve made quite a few improvements, but there’s still potential for the house to be enhanced further.” “I’d say that the garden is the standout feature of the property and really has the wow factor,” continues Ray. “It’s wonderfully mature and has a big sweeping lawn that draws the eye to the stunning view beyond. We have a very large patio terrace that’s a lovely place to entertain, and we also have a summerhouse that we use as our karaoke room, which has been a lot of fun. It has electricity, so if the new owners aren’t into karaoke it could be a great little home office.” “The kitchen and the conservatory combined form the real hub of the home,” says Ray. “It’s a nice space for day-to-day family life and great for entertaining, and when the weather is warm we can fling open the doors and extend it right out onto the lawn.” “Because the house is situated on a no-through lane, apart from visitors or the odd horse rider there’s virtually no traffic, so it’s incredible peaceful here,” says Ray. “And although our immediate surroundings are very rural, nearby Dursley caters for day-today needs or I can be in Bristol or Gloucester in just over half an hour.” “My wife and I have loved every minute of our time here and we will be sad to leave,” says Ray. “I don’t think we’ll ever find another house with views quite like these.
