Hook Norton is a thriving North Oxfordshire village with excellent amenities including doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries, Post Office and village store. “An excellent new butcher’s shop opened just three weeks ago,” say the owners of Haytimisa. The village also has a popular sports and social club with facilities including all weather tennis courts and cricket pitch. “The sports and social club is always heaving with kids on a Saturday morning playing on the various pitches” say the owners. “There’s a great atmosphere.” There are four pubs in the village and various community sports clubs and recreational societies, including Hook Norton Harriers running club. The village is host to various community events including an annual beer festival and charity music festival. Hook Norton’s own Church of England Primary School is extremely well regarded, while excellent secondary schools can be found at nearby Chipping Norton and Bloxham. Regular bus services are available to both Banbury and Chipping Norton, with convenient road links also abounding. “We love all of the rooms, as we built the house exactly as we wanted it! The lounge is a particular favourite, the perfect place to sit and relax of an evening. The garden is lovely in summer, with its large lawn and generous patio perfect for barbecues.
