• Friends' Calendars—If you're ever wondering if a friend or acquaintance has created a calendar, you can search for them by clicking Friends' Calendars and searching for someone you know. You enter his or her e-mail address. If that person has made a calendar available, you'll see it in the list that appears. Even if you know the person you're looking for has a Google Account, and even if they have a calendar, you might not see them in the search results. They'll only appear if they have at least one calendar that they've made public. If the person you're looking for doesn't have a Google Calendar account, a dialog box will appear prompting you to invite the individual to use Google Calendar. • Public Calendar Address—This isn't a type of calendar, exactly, but it is another option you see when you're looking through the Add Other Calendar screen. Clicking in the box causes a balloon to pop up above the date, providing you with space where you can type a brief description of the event that is to occur on that day (see Figure 8-8). Tip: Only a word or two of your event text appears on the Calendar when you have it in Month view. In Day view, you have more space for your event description. But you have lots of space in which to type a detailed description: I typed more than 100 characters in the balloon and could still type more. Even if you don't see the entire text of the description on the calendar, you can click it to open the balloon. Then you can edit the details or simply read them as a re-
