FILM.GL

Greenland’s first feature film came out in 2009, and since then Greenland has produced roughly one feature film per year. In a nation with only 56,000 inhabitants, increased filmmaking activities have called for an organization like FILM.GL to build proper frameworks for film production in Greenland. Founded in 2012, FILM.GL aims to professionalize the local film industry, create better financing conditions for Greenlandic filmmakers, and raise international awareness on Greenland as a film producing nation.
