Yahan Sabhi Gyani Hain Awaiting World Premiere
Pappu Tiwari and his dysfunctional superstitious family are looking for a groom for their daughter, Goldie. Like many Indian parents, they are hunting for a man with a fat bank balance and good social status. They come across Kani and his family who are the nouveau riche of Kanpur. The recently turned politician, Kani turns Pappu’s life upside down by asking for dowry. Pappu agrees to everything he has been asked for, as marrying Goldie into a rich family is his only ticket to demanding dowry for his own son. When Goldie loses her memory in an accident, the Tiwari family consults their family doctor who makes them believe that Amma, Pappu’s mother’s spirit, possesses her. To pay off Kani’s demands, this superstitious family unites in the search of Amma’s ‘Gadha Dhan’, which they believe is hidden in Amma’s old property.
