“…yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 LB ⮚ A place to protect. “We know what real love is because Christ gave up His life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16 NLT ⮚ A place to grow. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Prov 27:17 A life group is not to be confused with Sunday school or a “class” setting. A life group leader is not necessarily viewed as a “teacher”. While we do grow in knowledge through the small groups, many have no set curriculum. Life groups are more about just “doing life” together. We want you to have someone with you to help you through difficult times and we want you to help others similarly. Jesus intentionally kept his “life group” at a size of only twelve. He knew that discipleship cannot be done in a large setting, but in a small group. We expect every member to be a part of a life group.
NOW “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all energy, which so powerfully works in me.” Colossians 1:28-29
