SOME INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE ITEMSÂ 1. From daily life 2. From Religious Festivals 3. From weddings
1. FROM DAILY LIFE We always take off our shoes while entering houses or mosques. We start eating by saying 'Bismillah' and finish with'Elhamdulillah' to thank God. We try to eat with our right hands.
We start eating after the older members start.
2. FROM RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS In Ramadan and Kurban festivals,we visit our relatives. We kiss olders' hands and they give money or any gift to the children. We visit the graveyards and pray there. We offer dessert, especially Baklava to our guests. Children walk around, knock the doors and collect candies. Â
3. FROM WEDDINGS The night before weddings, the bride and her girl friends give a kind of party and dance. The mother of the bridegroom applies henna into the bride's hand and give some gold to her. Then, the girls, with candles on their hands, sing traditional songs to make her cryÂ
