In the eyes of abandonment, I was NEVER alone! While others lose who they are in this sport, I have remained exactly the same. With the losses and disappointments in life, my spirit hasn't been broken. I have been blessed with wonderful friends, family and fans who have supported and believed in me unconditionally. I know that I am EXACTLY at where I need to be I have kept my faith, when others stopped believing Negative energy and vibes has naturally found a way out of my life, so that only positivity can remain. TRICKS TO A "SPEEDY GONZALEZ" METABOLISM 1. Graze like a deer. Eating 1 or 2 large meals in a day halts the metabolism. If you eat smaller frequent meals throughout the day you maintain a higher metabolism because the physical act of digestion raises the metabolism.

the metabolism by creating what we call an "after burn." This means that not only will you burn calories while performing the exercise, but you will continue to burn calories throughout the day long after you have finished your workout. Remember this, every pound of muscle burns 30-50 calories per day and a pound of fat only burns six calories. Therefore, the more muscle you have, the more calories you can burn while resting!

5. Alternate between low intensity and high intensity cardiovascular sessions. The key to revving up your Lacey Luna metabolism is to always keep your workouts unac2. Snack on lowfat/high protein foods when hungry. customed. As soon as the body becomes efficient at Most snack foods are very high in carbohydrates and an exercise, it hits a plateau and your results are low in protein and nutrients, causing the pancreas to minimal. A good way to keep from reaching a secrete more insulin. The more your insulin levels plateau is to do different types of cardiovascular increase, the more body fat is stored, thus slowing exercise at different intensities. Example: the metabolism. Aim for foods that will stabilize Day 1: At a track, sprint the straights and walk your blood sugar such as tuna, turkey, lean cuts of the curves for 1/2 mile to 2 miles meat and vegetables such as brocolli, cauliflower, depending on level or conditioning and celery. Fruits that are excellent snacks are Day 2: jog or walk 30-60 minutes depending apples, oranges, blueberries, rasberries, blackberries, again on fitness level pears, mangos, peaches, and tomatoes. Eliminate Day 3: rest snacks such as chips, crackers, candy, popcorn, juice, Day 4: crossfit workout or jog 1 min/walk 1 and cookies. min. for 30-60 minutes Day 5 speed walk for 30-60 minutes with hills 3. Water, water, water. Drinking water suppresses Day 6 rest the appetite and helps the body metabolize stored fat. Day 7 rest or incorporat active rest An increase in water consumption can actually reduce fat deposits. The truth is the kidneys can't function properly without enough water. When they don't work to their full potential, some of their load is forced to the liver. One of the liver's functions is to metabolize stored fat, but if the liver has to do some of the kidney's work, it can't operate at full potential. Therefore, the liver metabolizes less fat. The key to a faster metabolism is to give your body what it needs-water, and lots of it. Strive for at least 96 oz. per day of water. 4. Do weight training/weight bearing exercise 3-5 days per week. Resistance training done with dumbbells, cables, machines, or resistance bands speed up

By varying your workout in this way, the body will always be in a fat burning state. Always vary the intensity, length of time, and type of exercise you are doing. 6. Make breakfast a priority. Your body has been in a fasting state while sleeping for 6 to 9 hours, hence the name break-fast. Skipping breakfast tricks the body into thinking you are in a starving state-feast or famine. Because you body doesn't know when you will break this fast, it has no choice other than to hold on to that stored fat for survival. That hard earned calorie burning muscle begins to atrophyexactly opposite of what we want. 7. Go easy on alcohol and sugar. There is no nutritional value in either. Two hundred years ago the average person ate only 2 pounds of sugar each year. In 1970, the average person ate 23 pounds of sugar in a year. Today, the average person eats over 150 pounds of sugar in a year! Sugar and alcohol raise blood sugar levels drastically, causing the pancreas to secrete more insulin. More insulinmeans more body fat. I always tell my female clients this-a! moment on the lips means forever on the hips!

Since the athletes performance is based on the health and strength of their body, many need regular massage treatments and chiropractic adjustments just to stay in shape and keep performing to their fullest potential.

Many athletes only turn to chiropractors after they have been injured, but it may be more beneficial to incorporate chiropractic therapy into the weekly training routine. A sports chiropractor can offer specialized treatments for MMA athletes, tennis players, football and basketball players, and other types of athletes who are constantly on the move.

“I do believe in Chiropractic. I found that going to a chiropractor three times a week helps my performance. I once drove 20 miles to see a chiropractor before a fight. I have to have my adjustment before I get in the ring. The majority of fighters go to get that edge. Evander Holyfield

For high-performance athletes, natural methods of stress reduction and toxin removal are necessary for better health overall. Chiropractic treatments may play an important role in the lives of these athletes throughout their training season, and during their most competitive seasons. How do chiropractic adjustments help to improve athletic performance? The answer lies in the nervous system. In our bodies, the brain is the master control and everything that we do is regulated by nerve impulses that are sent from the brain out to the body through our nerves. The vertebrae protect the spine and allow our bodies to move, but they can become fixed (the chiropractic term is subluxated) and these subluxated vertebrae can put pressure on the nerves as they exit the spine. This added pressure on the nerves can restrict the impulses that are sent from the brain to the body, which in turn can reduce the body’s ability to function as it should. Chiropractic adjustments improve the movement of the vertebrae and help to take the pressure off the nerves as they exit from the spine. With the release in pressure on the nervous system, the brain is able to communicate with the body more efficiently and the body functions with more precision. For the athlete who is looking for an edge to his or her physical performance, the improved communication between the brain and every part of the body, especially the heart, lungs and muscles can make the difference between winning and losing.
