FIELDSTONE SHOW PARK 2012

The Wounded Warrior Project

This year, Fieldstone Show Park is proud to partner with the non-profit organization: The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The mission of the WWP is to honor and empower our nation’s wounded soldiers by enlisting public aid for the needs of injured service members. By creating a fundamental network of support for these men and women, the WWP hopes to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded soldiers in our nation’s history. In order to support this valiant cause, Fieldstone will donate a portion of all entry fees from sponsored competition classes to the Wounded Warrior Project. Total dollars raised will be announced at the end of the summer show series along with a special donation in the names of our sponsors. This year, supporting Fieldstone will do more than bring business to your company and support the equestrian industry, it will also bring hope and encouragement to those who have dedicated their lives to defending our country. For more information on the Wounded Warrior Project and to read about Fieldstone Show Park on the WWP events calendar, visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Fieldstone Show Park

Dear Exhibitors and Trainers: It is our distinct pleasure to welcome you to the 2012 Fieldstone Show Park (FSP) season. We are looking forward to this year more than ever, and are confident that you will be pleased with the improvements and additions that have taken place since last season. Through a firm commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to provide you with the highest-quality show experience in New England. Over the past year, our team has been working non-stop to improve stabling, footing, infrastructure and competition coordination. We have also adopted the popular digital show management system, ShowGrounds Live, to increase show efficiency. Through ShowGrounds Live, exhibitors can add/drop classes, search competition results, browse trainers, owners, and horses, and checkout with the show office in a few easy clicks. One of the most notable upgrades in 2012 is the expansion of our show season. This year, we are proud to offer four AA rated competition weeks, including two back-to-back weeks from August 15 through August 25, that culminate with the Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Finals on August 26. In the coming months, we encourage exhibitors to visit www.showfieldstone.com “for more details regarding the August Summer Show Case Horse Shows” . In the meantime, we are pleased to invite professional, junior and amateur riders to compete in our featured classes in May and June, including our $25,000 Show Jumping Grand Prix’s, $10,000 3’3 Hunter Derbies, $7,500 Welcome and Speed Stakes, and our $2,500 2’9 and Pony Hunter Derbies in our all-grass Grand Prix field. We are also excited to continue offering several national series classes including the WIHS, USEF, ASPCA and THIS equitation classes. Finally, we are establishing a partnership with two nonprofit organizations: The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and The Children’s Wish Foundation International. This year, FSP will contribute a portion of entry fees from sponsored competition classes to raising funds and awareness for these organizations. Fieldstone is looking forward to a memorable season that offers exhibitors even more opportunities to compete, earn points, collect prize money, enjoy events, shop vendors. We look forward to seeing you here! Scott Clawson Jeff Papows President and CEO Chairman of the Board Fieldstone Show Park Fieldstone Show Park

Donald Little Perpetual Trophy

Fieldstone Show Park names the 2012 Master’s Season for Donald Little Donald Little Perpetual Trophy to be presented to the leading Master’s Rider at Summer Showcase August 25th.

This year, our sport lost one of its greats, Donald Little. Donald was an equestrian of significant stature, involved deeply in local and National Show Jumping competitions as well as other aspects of horse sports. “We will all miss Donald,” said Dr. Jeff Papows, Chairman Fieldstone Show Park, “his laugh, his never ending energy, his consummate wisdom, and his camaraderie. I learned a lot just watching Donald who was the consummate equestrian. I think each of us will think of him fondly this season each time we enter the ring Professionally, Little was an investment broker with UBS and its predecessor companies, Paine Webber and Kidder Peabody. In pursing his sport, Little almost single-handedly created the Northshore equestrian scene during a lifetime of riding. He founded the Jumper Classic, a show that grew into its own, independent corporation and became one of the most all Jumper show in Northeast When that show moved to New Hampshire from the Schooling Field on Bay Road in Hamilton, Little moved on to become the founder of the Boston Jumper Classic at the Schooling Field. He was also the chairman of the Myopia Horse Show, and played a key role in bringing polo back to the Myopia Hunt Club in the 1980s and in reviving the local hunt. Little was captain of Myopia Hunt Club Polo for 18 years, past president of the United States Polo Association, current Master of the Foxhounds of the Myopia Hunt Club, and Founder and Chairman of Centennial Farms (which raced winners of many stakes races, including the Belmont Stakes in 1993 and the inaugural Breeders Cup Dirt Mile in 2007). In honor of Don’s many achievements and contributions to our sport, we will be presenting the “Donald Little Perpetual Trophy” to the leading Master’s rider at the end of the 2012 show season at Fieldstone Show Park.
