THE BROCADE SILK – THE BEST FABRIC LIKED BY NEW GENERATION Brocade is a rich jacquard weave with intricate designs on its surface that appear embossed or embroidered but are made by weaving supplemental weft threads (silk or silver/gold zari; single colour or multi-colour) into the warp on a special jacquard loom. Brocade usually has a twill or satin bottom and is generally thick and heavy. The brocade is non-reversible, unlike other jacquard fabrics. In making a brocade fabric, the shuttles that move the thread are only used where the patterns are supposed to be. Therefore, the weft yarn is discontinuous in the material. Looking back at the brocade silk for small designs, you can only see the silk fabric, but there is an inscription on the surface. The word brocade can be derived from the Spanish word brocade, or the Italian word brocade, which means "patterned cloth". It may have its origin in Kurdish. This is a beautiful silk fabric that is soft, smooth and very shiny.

What can you sew with Brocade? Brocade is expensive and is generally used for making clothing and for home decor. In the whole world, brocade is used for fancy, religious, and elsewhere to make weddings and such ostentatious occasions. As we know, matka silk fabric is one of the best and famous silks used for decor. The patterns in the brocade give an opulent look to everything you make with this fabric. It is also used to make bags, purses, curtains/curtains, upholstery, headboards, etc. It is also a fabric widely used to make wedding dresses and vests. Conclusion:

Silver and gold thread stamped brocades look very rich and abundant. The dramatic look of brocade can put off the casual dressing room. Still, subtle-looking brocades can be made into beautiful dresses or even skirts or subtly incorporated into dresses like a brocade bow or trim or a yoke for the bodice.
