Be My Superstar A Contemporary Tragedy No stage, no chairs, none of the usual things... Just a big glass box. And people dancing in an open space. In the background the sound of a stirring beat. Evoking something that everyone will have experienced at some point in their life, Be My Superstar is an immersive opera centred around bullying. Everyday abuse is presented as words, images and music, and we are confronted with the banality of the violence we are all capable of. Where does it originate? And where does it end up? In a club-like atmosphere, musicians and singers surround the audience, the music transforms from electronic to operatic and the performance unfolds. Not suitable for anyone under the age of 14. Use of flashing lights, very strong language and mild nudity. Britten Studio, Snape Maltings 5pm (ends approx. 6.15pm)
