Last year I really didn’t know what to expect. To see the park full of people all there for the same reason really moved me. The energy was high! Everyone was full of love and compassion, but there were also tears and pain, memories of the loved ones we have lost. It takes each of us talking to everyone we know to get our friends the help and support they need. I finished the race without stopping and I was proud of myself because it was more than just running a 5K. It was a feeling of hope and a sense of understanding for what all 10,000 of us were doing out there. This year I am a member of the team Burkhart’s Pub. We have a small team now, but I’m sure it will grow. We know the importance of asking friends and family for support and donations and it feels good to contribute something other than just our presence.” Thanks Eddy! Why do YOU participate?
