Remembering Michael Schira Fence News Memoriam 2020 - 2021
Michael C. Schira, president of Marleau Hercules, a Toledo-based, family-owned fence company, died July 22. He was 69.
Michael and his brother, Jim, were business partners. The beginning of the business was when their great-grandfather, Dolphus J. Marleau, started a hardware store in 1889, then it transformed into a fencing business over time.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Flynn, whom he married September 12, 1975; son, Bertrand Schira; sisters, Ann Mackley and Cathy Siebenaler; brothers Bill, Bob, Joe and Jim Schira, and a granddaughter.
The family suggests tributes to Central Catholic High School; the Double ARC Center, or a worthy recipient of the donor’s choice.
