The Offering for Global Missions has the power to not only transform lives at home and abroad, but to also connect your church to God’s larger plan for the world. It all starts with you! This guide offers resources and practices for your church to Cultivate Beloved Community through the Offering for Global Missions.

You will welcome people, share the Gospel and create Beloved Community. Gifts to this year’s Offering for Global Missions will Cultivate Beloved Community by providing resources like: • • • • • •

This year’s Offering and missions emphasis feature the inspiring work of CBF field personnel in Uganda, Danville, Va., and Research Triangle, N.C., who are transforming lives for Jesus Christ by Cultivating Beloved Community. Their work offers examples of how your gifts to OGM restore lives—one person at a time.

Your church’s support of OGM extends the love of Jesus to people in Danville, Va., who create loving community through an urban farm, worship services, weekly meals and hospitality.

ü Pick a leader who is PASSIONATE about missions! The ideal leader is dynamic, persuasive, organized and has the ability to engage the whole community in giving to missions. ü Watch this year’s Offering videos. ü Pick a date for your Global Missions emphasis. ü Order free Offering materials at www.cbf.net/ogm ü Set a GOAL for your Offering. ü Schedule CBF field personnel to speak in person or by video conference. GET THE WORD OUT

ü Involve everyone – use the gifts and talents of church members young and old to create materials, lead social media efforts, teach classes, head missions projects and much more.

ü Announce what’s going on through every communications channel in your church, including bulletins, emails, newsletters, the website and more.

ü Reproduce the missions stories in church newsletters or other publications, both print and digital.

ü Engage volunteers to “like” and “share” your posts.

ü Make a visual impact with posters and banners throughout the church and in Sunday school classrooms.

ü Tell stories of transformation made possible through the Offering.

ü Update everyone on the progress toward your Offering goals.
