Felicity Stone

Felicity Stone is a South African born teacher, journalist, writer and author of the non-fiction book titled, “Maggie Mom Me: A South African Memoir”. She holds degrees from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and Ryerson University in Toronto, as well as a MFA from the Stonecoast program at the University of Southern Maine. Her writing career spans over 25 years, during which time she has written articles on a variety of topics that have been featured in leading national publications. Felicity also decided to harness her skills and use them academically to help underprivileged and underserved communities, believing that creative writing is a tool for self-discovery and healing. These efforts have included facilitating creative writing workshops for male inmates at an Ontario medium security correctional facility, patients at an addiction recovery center, the transgender community and at-risk youth both in Toronto and in South Africa.
