HELICOPTER DIVISION EYE IN THE SKY In late October, our officers were alerted to a 10-year-old girl who
wandered away from her family on a bicycle in an unfamiliar area. Not knowing how far she traveled, Fairfax 1 took flight to help bring her home safely. Within minutes of arriving, the flight crew spotted the
girl riding her bicycle quite far from her family and well outside the ground search area. The crew guided officers to the girl just before she tried to cross a busy street. She was safely reunited with her relieved family.
A few weeks later, the young girl and her family visited the same crew who found her. It was obvious she was thrilled to meet the crew and
get a behind the scenes look at Fairfax 1. Our crew was just as excited to have the opportunity to meet a community member they helped!
