Girl Scout Astronomy Festival Saturday, December 12 (Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts), 5:30-7:30pm, Riverbend Visitor Center, 703-759-9018. View outer space through a telescope, listen to ancient stories about the constellations ‘round the campfire, take a guided tour of the night sky and participate in hands-on activities. This year’s festival is scheduled near the peak of the Geminid meteor shower. Brownies and Juniors complete the badge requirements for the Space Explorer and Sky Search badges.
