Toward

“Toward In some contexts, the word may indicate closeness; in others, relative direction. Concerning the present state of Florida College, its adjective context, which indicates progress, is most fitting. Enclosed you will read of the progress toward providing the most complete educational experience in the history of Florida College. Our enrollment and retention of four-year students are headed toward record levels, and we are quickly approaching several necessary improvements of many of our facilities. After considering these pages, I trust that you will share in my excitement as Florida College continues in this direction. I hope that your passion for this institution will inspire your support as we shape the next generation toward learning, living and leading His way.

Enrollment In its rich history, the College has only experienced four years with enrollment numbers higher than the 2012–2013 school year. Recent enrollment growth and increases in donor support coupled with careful financial oversight will allow the school to operate on a surplus for this fiscal year.

This number doesn’t cut it in the classroom … If we achieve this two-year average for donations from four-year graduates, U.S. News & World Report will be inclined to list Florida College as the “Most-Loved School” in the nation! To encourage participation in this challenge, the College has established the Senior Legacy Scholarship Fund to benefit students seeking a bachelor’s degree at Florida College. Donations received for the 65% challenge will contribute to this fund.

Akin Building Health science professionals, medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, veterinarians, chiropractors— all are possibilities as a result of study in our four-year Health Sciences program. In an effort to provide the best labs and equipment for these aspiring servants, the College is calling on alumni and friends across the nation with a particular affinity for these fields. Thus far, more than $500,000 has been raised toward completing this $1.5 million project. The transformation of Akin will be incredible. The impact on future medical professionals will be priceless.
