Fay Welcomes New Administrators Robert S. Harvey Director of Student Life
Lara Gleason Director of Residential Life
As Fay’s new Director of Student Life, Rob Harvey coordinates opportunities for service learning, workshops and programs on diversity and inclusion, interfaith programs, and leadership development for all students from Pre-Kindergarten through grade nine. He is a graduate of Bryant University and holds a master’s degree in religion, education, and government from Harvard University. Prior to Fay, Rob taught at Dedham Country Day School and The Chestnut Hill School; he was also a university research fellow at Lindenwood University in Missouri, and he has presented scholarly papers on a range of topics including community engagement, social justice, identity politics and formation, theology, and interfaith dialogue. Robert is also part of Fay’s residential staff and lives in Steward Dormitory.
Lara joined the Fay community last year after eight years at Graland Country Day School in Denver, Colorado. While at Graland, Lara taught English, served on the admissions, diversity, education, and facilities committees, founded the sustainability committee, and served as sustainability coordinator. She was also dean of the fifth and sixth grades. Prior to Graland, Lara was a dorm parent, ninth grade dean, and English teacher at New Hampton School in New Hampshire. Lara has led trips for students internationally in Belize, Nicaragua, and France. She is a magna cum laude graduate of St. Lawrence University, where she studied English, and she holds her master's degree in education from Antioch University. As Director of Residential Life, Lara coordinates the boarding component of day-to-day life for Fay’s 120 domestic and international boarders in grades seven through nine. She also serves as a dorm parent in Steward Dormitory, and she continues to teach Upper School English.
