The Bugatti Veyron is (still) the world’s fastest production car, having just wrested the crown from itself in a successful world-record attempt. On Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessien test track just outside of Wolfsburg, Bugatti’s official test driver got the new Veyron 16.4 Super Sport to hit a two-way average speed of 268 mph. That terminal velocity eclipses the original Veyron 16.4 coupe’s by 15 mph. It’s faster, all right, and conditions on Saturday allowed a top speed higher than the Bugatti team was even expecting—they forecasted a conservative, and utterly tame by comparison, 264 mph. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700–4 is a two-door, two-seater sports car publicly unveiled by Lamborghini at the Geneva Motor Show on 28 February 2011, five months after its initial unveiling in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Internally codenamed LB834, the Aventador was designed to replace the ten-year-old Murciélago as the new flagship model in the Lamborghini lineup starting in 2011. Soon after the Aventador unveiling, Lamborghini announced that it had already sold over 12 months of the production vehicles, with deliveries starting in the second half of 2011. Page / 7

The B2 is the B1’s successor, first shown to the public at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The differences between the B1 and the B2 are only cosmetic; the B2 offers a new, edgier design and a new, almost space-age interior. Some design features include highlighting the grille and intakes in black to contrast them to the car’s body colour and emphasize some of the car’s geometric elements, as well as styling the car’s face to the shape of the “M” in the Marussia Motors logo. Engine power is 420 hp, 309 kW, top speed 250 km/h and acceleration 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. In late 2012, the B2 was featured in the video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted Page / 11

Perana Z1 The 6.2L V8 engine generates 440hp (328kW) and 430lb-ft of torque (583Nm) of torque, and redlines at 6,600rpm. That’s enough to scoot the 2,630lb (1,195kg) car to 62mph (100km/h) in an estimated sub-4 second time. Big brakes - 325mm up front, 305mm in the rear - slow things down again, while unequal length A-arms, Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs at all four corners handle the curves.

The Z-One’s chassis has been completely conceived and designed by Perana engineers in South Africa, despite the engine sourced from General Motors. Zagato-designed Perana Z-One sports car

The LaFerrari is the first mild hybrid from Ferrari, providing the highest horsepower of any Ferrari whilst decreasing fuel consumption by 40 percent.[5] The LaFerrari’s V12 will have a 6.3 litre capacity with 789 hp[2], supplemented by a 163 hp KERS unit, which will provide short bursts of extra power.[6] Unlike conventional hybrid vehicles, the KERS system adds extra power to the combustion engine’s output level, with an impact similar to that of a turbo charger.

Ferrari Sergio Pininfarina Ferrari Sergio is the concept of a two-seat “small boat”, a model that has always been conceived as a form of expression of one’s passion for driving. The indissoluble link between Pininfarina and Ferrari, born in 1952, has been creating some of the most appreciated sports car in the world, and the actualization of a classical Ferrari model, such as the two-seat small boat, seems the perfect mean to link past and future.

Aston Martin DB9 The Aston Martin DB9 comes in two variants; the coupé and ‘Volante’ convertible, each producing 470 bhp from a 6.0L V12 engine, originally taken from its sister car the V12 Vanquish. This V12 engine is why Aston Martin did not call the car the DB8, which could suggest that it has only a V8 engine. One report states that Aston Martin believed that this car was such a huge leap from the Jaguar XJ-S based DB7 that it named it DB9 instead of DB8, which they thought would indicate a gradual evolution.

The DB9 is the first model to be built at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility in Warwickshire, England. The moniker “DB” stems from the initials of David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin for a significant part of its history. The DB9, which was designed by Ian Callum and finished by his successor, Henrik Fisker, superseded the now-discontinued Aston Martin DB7 (also by Callum) which started production in 1994.

Ferrari Enzo The Enzo’s V12 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari. It is based on the architecture of the V8 found in sister-company Maserati’s Quattroporte, using the same basic architecture and 104 mm (4.1 in) bore spacing. This design will replace the former architectures seen in V12 and V8 engines used in most other contemporary Ferraris. The 2005 F430 is the second Ferrari to get a version of this new powerplant.

The Enzo Ferrari is a 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta named after the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari.[1] It was built in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite disc brakes. Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics and traction control. After a downforce of 7600N(1700lb) is reached at 300 km/h (186 mph) the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that downforce.
