The Type Wan collection considers the day-today, on-the-go lifestyle of a type one diabetic pump user.
The silhouette is Inspired by brutalist architecture, streetwear and functional wear. The colour by 00’s medical nostalgia, and my personal journey with type one diabetes.
Designs are the product of extensive research, developmental process and personal experience which addresses how the wearer engages with and is protected by their garment.
Type 1 diabetes like most auto-immune diseases is an “invisible” disability, Type Wan uses a bold colour palette associated with three different types of insulin pen: Humulin, Lantus and Novorapid.
