OUTERWEAR 2013/14
IN LATE 2010, WE WENT SHOPPING We searched for clothing that ref lected our passion and desires our commitment to the mountain and to the nature of skiing itself. Existing apparel brands were either too tech, too niche, too massmarket or too snowboard orientated. We want clothing that is stylish yet technical and more than anything, well made. Don’t worry - We Are Among You. We gathered some of the most experienced designers in the industry. We started with a blank slate and def ined our clothing wants. We created a line of progressive technical outerwear that communicates specif ically to us as skiers. Introducing the Faction Apparel Division.

FABRICS & INSULATION TORAY DERMIZAX® Toray DERMIZA X® moisture control fabric utilizes its ultra-thin monolithic membrane’s polymer molecule movement to eff iciently absorb perspiration vapor buildup from the inner surface and effectively disperse it throughout the fabric. Dermizax is windproof and features a waterproof/ breathability rating of 20,000mm/20,000br.
TORAY DELFY™ Toray DELF Y™ fabric provides total comfort for active sports. Featuring a 10,000mm/10,000br coating, Toray DELF Y is waterproof and windproof while remaining soft and supple to the touch.
TORAY STUNNER® STRETCH Toray Stunner® Stretch is a high-strength mechanical stretch fabric that is ideal for activewear applications.
3M™ THINSULATE™ 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space‚ the better it insulates you from the cold outside air. Because the f ibers in Thinsulate are f iner than the f ibers used in most other synthetic or natural insulation‚ they trap more air in less space‚ which naturally makes Thinsulate a better insulator. Thinsulate is breathable, moistureresistant and machine washable/dry-cleanable.

FITS We created two different f its to cater to different requirements; Standard and Progressive. Both are modern, functional and stylish but differ in their details.
