CROP PROTECTION

Herbicides Activated Amitrole

Arietta

400G/L AMITROLE 100G/L AMMONIUM THIOCYNATE 230G/L SULPHAMIC ACID • Broad spectrum herbicide used to control many grass and broadleaf weeds in orchards and vineyards and non-cropping areas. • Readily absorbed and fully translocated within the plant, providing excellent control of hard to kill weed species. • Ideal for use in vineyards and orchards where continued use of glyphosate has resulted in lack of control.

336G/L TOPRAMEZONE • Arietta is a post-emergence herbicide for the control of a range of broadleaf and grass weeds in maize (silage and grain) and sweetcorn. Arietta is taken up by both leaves and roots and transported within the plant where it interferes with the synthesis of carotenoids. This leads to bleaching (chlorosis) of leaves and weeds typically die within 14 days of treatment. Although Arietta is systemic, thorough coverage of the target weed is necessary for optimum results. Application to small, actively growing weeds when conditions are conducive to maximum photosynthesis (moist, warm, bright sunshine) is ideal.

Basagran

Beetrix

480G/L BENTAZONE • Basagran is a selective contact herbicide that must be applied in sufficient water to ensure that all parts of the target weeds are thoroughly covered. Immature weeds (2–4 leaf) are more readily controlled than more mature plants. • Basagran is especially effective against chamomiles, stinking mayweed, cleavers, storksbill and Onehunga weed. Other broadleaf weeds controlled include redroot (Prince of Wales feather), chickweed, black nightshade, spurrey, shepherd’s purse, thorn apple and wild turnip. • Basagran is not active in the soil, so weeds must have germinated before spraying (post-emergence).

50G/L PHENMEDIPHAM 50G/L ETHOFUMESATE 150G/L METAMITRON • Three way combination herbicide to control most weeds in fodder beet and beetroot crops. • Outstanding crop safety means it can be used at any time from planting onward. • Convenient liquid formulation that replaces out-dated tank mixing.
