One of Rod’s favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13 – “For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” “Going through this, I found there’s all kinds of hurts in this old world,” he said. “The devil is lurking around every corner just waiting for you to stumble so he can rip you away from God. But the thing that I have found is that if there’s a hurt in your life you can go in prayer to Jesus about that hurt. In a sense, what is hurting you is hurting the Lord and he wants to get that cleared up as soon as possible.”

Portions of this story are adapted from Rod’s personal testimony given to audiences throughout the United States. Search “Rodney Lane Hammerstrom” to find the presentation on YouTube. Additional interview material by Bob Fitch.
