Teen Leadership Program

The Teen Leadership Program is a recreational and community service based program for teens ages 13-15. The program meets 7 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays from May 30-August 9* (excluding July 4) at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center. Activities include volunteering with the Animal Adoption Center, Historical Park, Parks Projects, The Branch Connection, Aquatics Center, and other special projects/events. Other activities include swimming, fitness activities, and themed parties. Free breakfast and lunch are provided through the C-FBISD’s Summer Food Service Program when available (June 5 – July 20). Each participant receives a program t-shirt.

Registration is available online at farmersbranchliving.com and in-person at the Recreation Center. Proof of residency is required for those seeking the resident rate.

Registration Dates are:

Currently open to both residents and non-residents.

Non-residents may register on a weekly basis dependent upon availability. Registration will open Thursdays for the upcoming week if space is available.

$15/weekly fee for residents and $40/weekly fee for non-residents

Additional fees may apply for special activities (i.e. field trip, onsite entertainment, etc.)

Teen Fire & Rescue

$50 Residents/$65 Non-residents

Ages 13 - 18 | Limited to 14 participants

The Teen Fire and Rescue features hands-on training, challenges, and drills including fire ground operations, search and rescue, basic CPR, arson investigation, and other related topics. Tours include various fire training Facilities. Teens will end the week with a slideshow, award ceremony, and lunch.
