Branch Review CITY

OF FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS

Cajun Night at the Grove

The City is partnering with Roots Southern Table to host their annual crawfish boil at this month’s Denton Drive Live! And, to turn up the spice, the event will feature live music from Grammy Award Winner Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, as well as Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels. Join us for this award-winning concert series on Saturday, June 10 from 6-10 p.m. at the Grove at Mustang Station. As always, the event is free and will include free kids activities such as face painting and balloon artists. Crawfish will be sold by the plate while supplies last, or you can pre-purchase an all-you-can-eat ticket at dentondrivelive.com/june2023. Beer, wine and other food options will also be available for purchase.

Nature Preserve Reopening

The John F. Burke Nature Preserve has reopened to the public while construction crews make final touches. The 104-acre preserve has undergone an extensive renovation. To get an inside look at the new improvements, scan the QR code and watch a recent walkthrough with Parks staff.

Citizen Survey

This month, the City will partner with Polco to conduct our Annual Citizen Satisfaction Survey. The survey will include questions about quality of life, important characteristics of the community, services provided by the City and priorities for the future. Your responses will guide us to better understand your experiences, needs, concerns and opinions, and will help shape our future planning and budget decisions.

An official grand reopening, which will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a trail tour, will be hosted on Friday, May 19 from 10-11:30 a.m. For more information, visit farmersbranchtx.gov/JBNP.
