Digital Analytics: comparative analysis of electricity demand in different European countries
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The workshop will focus on the application of digital analytics tools in the analysis of electricity demand for some key European countries (France, Germany and Italy). In the workshop, historical power demand data will be analysed according to the evolution of some key variable affecting its evolution. As a results, we will gather useful insights from the analysis, projecting its applications in the context of day-to-day business activities.

Data Management and Anomaly Detection in Industrial Sensors Data
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In the industrial sector, it is of fundamental importance to acquire and manage data from sensors installed in production plants. Data analysis and processing can be used to develop various digital applications, including monitoring and predictive maintenance of equipment. In this scenario, starting from raw data we will carry out a series of transformations and quality checks to be able to use them in an AI model in order to identify anomalous operating periods.

WORKSHOP TITLE
PowerBI solution in the banking/insurance sector
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In this session, we will delve into a business case from a real project in the banking and/or insurance sector. In the role of an IT strategy consultant, you will see how to approach from start to finish a project that arose from a specific client need. Focusing on:
1. Understanding the business need;
2. Defining the methodology to address the need;
3. Designing the end-to-end data strategy solution (KPIs, metrics, underlying data, data model, ..);
4. Implementing the solution in PowerBI; The students will be guided through the usage of the tool and try to solve the business need by implementing the solution leveraging the same data provided by the faculty.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Over the years, data analysis has become a key skill in all sectors, and obviously working in the technical and administrative staff of a large technical-scientific university provides access to an enormous amount of data in all areas of the university’s operations: education, research, technological transfer, collaborations, etc.
One of the most sought-after skills in those working at the Politecnico di Milano specifically concerns data analysis and its use to understand and propose strategic solutions. During this workshop, participants will try to solve, by working in groups, a complex problem considered of fundamental importance in this historical period.

Global Customer Scorecard: a Digital Analytics driver for Customer Excellence
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Global Customer Scorecard is a dashboard that allows analysis and monitoring of near-real time order-todelivery data. This provides a customer-centric analysis to facilitate understanding of data and improving the decisionmaking process, supporting the continuous improvement, customer excellence and driving actions to reach the “perfect-order”. Using this approach we will develop some integrated analysis views with the goal to identify gap & opportunities within the order-to-delivery process.
