marching classic The 35th annual Waseca Marching Classic is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022. Waseca High School’s long history of instrumental musical excellence marches through town each September. The tradition continues! The Classic Parade steps off at noon in downtown Waseca. Thousands from across the region come to watch high school marching bands from Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota perform through the streets in competition. Spectators and participants display their school spirit and community pride. To celebrate its 35th Anniversary, the Classic Committee hopes to enhance this year’s parade by having a featured guest. Immediately following the parade, an awards ceremony is held at the Trowbridge Park Bandstand during which parade awards, the People’s Choice Award and Parade Sweepstakes, are presented. 38
