An addition to Batesville High School is bringing new recreational and educational opportunities to students and local residents.

This addition created a new student commons that opens to a large gathering stair connecting student and public event gathering spaces. The commons entrance leads to the student activity center, fitness facility and multipurpose room providing opportunities and security for community use after hours.

The 17,000-square-foot student activity center includes a fieldhouse, with two full size basketball and volleyball courts, competition courts with future seating for 600 spectators, and running track, 4,600 square feet of support space, six new locker rooms, a new fitness/ weight center and a new wrestling room.
