THE CITY OF MAITLAND has an extensive history from its days where it served as Fort Maitland, serving as a rest stop between Sanford and Orlando, to becoming a popular town for those working in the “space age of the 1950s.”

Maitland is one of the oldest incorporated municipalities in Central Florida and maintains itself as a highly desirable area for families, complete with neighborhood communities, highly rated schools, city parks, and gorgeous lakes.

Maitland is home to The Maitland Art Center, The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center, and The Audubon Birds of Prey. Additionally, the Enzian Theater is located in Maitland, they are the only full-time alternative
