State Goals
Safe & Welcoming Environment
Toledo Elementary School is committed to creating a school family of compassionate life-long learners and inspiring personal excellence in all students by providing a safe, healthy, and rigorous environment.
The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.
Lincoln County School District is committed to forming positive school communities where all students succeed and grow. Our behavior management system creates and fosters healthy relationships that enable students to develop self-discipline necessary to remain in school and to function successfully in their educational and social environments. We utilize the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) framework to support appropriate student behaviors and create positive school environments.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The health and safety of students and staff is very important to Lincoln County School District. We develop, and provide annually to all families, a Student/Parent Handbook which includes the Student Code of Conduct (See Board policy JFC-AR), outlining student conduct expectations and possible disciplinary actions. This addresses policies regarding bullying and harassment, and others, including: -EB – Safety Program -EBCB – Emergency Drills -EBC/EBCA – Emergency Procedure Plan -EEAC – School Bus Safety Program
Opportunities at ToES Include:
Toledo Elementary has worked to create a welcoming environment for parent engagement in these ways:
The Lincoln County SD strives to make connections with all of our families and our community. To that end, the Superintendent has hired a position called a Hispanic Family Liaison to meet specifically with Spanish speaking families in our community about how to navigate our school district and community services. We hold community meetings, workshops for parents on important topics and have guest speakers. Our schools all host evening community nights about academics, social emotional learning and developmentally appropriate behaviors. The school district enjoys a plethora of community partnerships that enhance community engagement and relationships.

Safe & Welcoming Environment
Toledo Jr. High has 3 main goals we will continue to focus on for the 20192020 school year:
1. Critical Reading - By the end of the 2019-20 school year, 95% of teachers will be using critical reading strategies in all content courses. 2. Attendance - Our goal is that the “regular attenders rate (students that attend 90%) for the 2019-2020 school year will increase to 75% and their will be a focused effort on students who are in danger of entering into chronic absenteeism. 3. Positive Behavior - Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) will be implemented in all classrooms with a fidelity index of 75%.
