t’s easy to enjoy a night out in the bustling downtown Woodstock area with its fabulous restaurant scene. But if you’re looking for an experience unlike any other, husband-and-wife-team Sean and Anna Daily have created just that with their two restaurants: Rootstock and The Daily Draft. Although very different in concept, both restaurants break the mold of traditional dining establishments while amplifying the art of experience.
MEET ROOTSTOCK Recently, Rootstock & Vine rebranded to simply, Rootstock. The rebranding clearly communicates that Rootstock is more than a global wine and gourmet tapas bar. They’ve now evolved into a social club of magnificent proportions.
Their repertoire includes an exclusive Whiskey and Bourbon Program with over 400 members, along with hosting special events. Sean and Anna revel in offering unique events for their guests. “We host monthly pairing dinners, celebrating the most prestigious names in whiskey and wine. To support our philosophy of giving back, we recently donated the proceeds of our monthly dinner to Angels Among Us, an organization we are deeply passionate about,” explains Anna. “We’ve watched friendships form over the love of wine and whiskey right before our eyes in our familystyle dinner setting.”

DISCOVERING A NICHE Not long ago, Sean and Anna found themselves enthralled in the dream of creating the perfect date night space. Somewhere quiet, where they could escape the fast-paced world to enjoy a nice meal and fine wine without rushing. This profound desire birthed Rootstock & Vine.
“People can go anywhere to get a meal, but they come to us for an experience,” adds Sean. RAISING A GLASS TO GROWTH Their rebrand includes a two-story expansion to accommodate growing social spaces that contribute to the Rootstock experience.
