The Wellington, Aldershot are pleased to announce that Father Christmas will be there to take Christmas Present Lists from all the good girls and boys in his Grotto on the Lower Mall again this year. He will be there every weekend from 29 November 11am-4pm on Saturdays and 11am-3pm on Sundays and Tuesday 23 December 11am3pm and Christmas Eve 11am-2pm. He will also be making a special appearance on Saturday 15 November from 12-3pm for the Light Switch On Event. Come along and visit Santa, drop off your list, collect your FREE gift, have your photograph taken and then be on your best behaviour and you may receive the presents you asked for on Christmas Morning. Santa has confirmed that he will be in residence in his new grotto at Chessington Garden Centre from Sat 15 Nov until Sat 24 Dec. Your visit starts with a fantastic, short collective animated film starring the much loved ‘Rocket the Reindeer’. You will then embark on a magical trip through the wonderland grotto to meet Father Christmas. You’ll escape from life in wartime London to a quiet country house where you’ll find a magic entrance through a wardrobe, transporting you to the fantasy world of Narnia. Meet the mystical lion and other magical characters, and be amazed by the stunning fairy-tale inspired scenes. It’s then off to meet the impulsive Mr Toad and other residents of Toad Hall, including Ratty, Mole & Badger, not forgetting the mischievous weasels. Following an audience with the Queen of Hearts and Alice at the Mad Hatters tea party, you’ll travel through an Icy Winter Wonderland with it’s polar bear tea party & ice skating penguins and have a chance to dance along to the great new swinging polar bear band. Your trip will conclude with a rare chance to see inside the elves mystical toy workshop before your personal meeting with Father Christmas in his magical Ice Palace. Visit Santa in his grotto (£3 per child) with all proceeds going to local charities, no booking required and all children get a present. There is also a special Santa letter box where you can post a letter to Father Christmas. Ride the Barrel Train through the plantation and past the reindeer, free of charge. Also available are heavy horse and carriage rides £2 per adult and £1.50 per child and there are no age restrictions. All the above attractions (including Santa’s Grotto) are available on 29, 30 Nov, 6, 7, 13 and 14 Dec from 10am to 4pm. There are lots of fresh home grown Christmas trees to choose from and fantastic shops for decorations and gifts, so why not get your fresh Christmas tree at the same time as visiting Santa?
