Active Living Over 55 Defensive Driving Program #6005 Drivers 55 and older are eligible to receive a 10% discount on their auto insurance if they attend these classes every three years. If it has been more than three years since you last attended, just the four hour refresher is needed; no need to retake the eight hour class. The sessions are interactive, informative and interesting, including videos and hand outs. Attendees are able to fine tune their driving skills, learn about the latest in auto technology, traffic laws and safe driving techniques. Instructor: Phil Bachman, a Minnesota Highway Safety Center trained professional. Fee: $22 for the 4-hour, refresher course; or $26 for the 8-hour, first-timers course.

Senior Surf #6065 The Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging®, Inc. will be offering “Senior Surf”. This is a free class for older adults who would like to learn the basics of operating a computer. Senior Surf is for those who have never used a computer or have had limited experience with a computer. Plenty of time will be available for one-on-one assistance and to have your questions answered. Come Join the Fairmont City Band Musicians Needed! This volunteer group of musicians from the Fairmont area provide musical entertainment, enjoyment, and good will to the community during its summer concert series on Tuesday evenings June 14, 21, 28, July 12 and Monday, July 4 at Sylvania Park Band Shell. Rehearsals begin at 6:15 pm and concerts are at 8:00. There are no auditions, tryouts or solos required to participate, and membership is open to all instrumentalists, 10th grade and older.
