New County Flood Maps in 2018

Official Flood Maps

F

EMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is working on a new flood map for Butler County, Ohio. The projected effective date will be Spring 2018. This new National Flood Insurance Rate Map will replace the existing county flood map from 2010. The City of Fairfield will benefit from more accurate flood zone boundary updates that are provided by the adoption of this new map. As always, the City of Fairfield encourages its residents to be aware of their flood risk and to purchase and maintain a flood insurance policy to protect themselves from the financial impacts of flooding. Map changes can affect flood insurance. Call the Development Services Department at 513-867-5345 for possible map changes in your area. You can also reach the FEMA Map Information Exchange at 1-877-336-2627.
