EQUIPMENT RENTAL PERIODS The equipment is offered based on availability and at the discretion of the manager.

DAILY RATE Monday through Friday all equipment must be returned by 11 a.m. on the due date. Items returned after that time will be charged an additional one day’s rental. Equipment items can be picked up after noon the date reserved for. Small equipment (i.e. snow boards, skis, etc.) can be picked up as early as opening time at 7 a.m.
MONDAY RENTAL SPECIA L: Pick-up Monday aft er 12 p.m. and return Thursday by 11 a.m . at no additional charg e!
WEEKEND RATE Applies to items rented over a weekend (i.e. the weekend rates are from noon Friday to 11 a.m. on Monday, no exceptions). Any additional days will be added to a weekend rate. Example: Item picked up Thursday at noon and returned Tuesday at 11 a.m. This item would be charged a weekend plus two days. Holiday rates apply when the weekend is accompanied by a holiday. Note: Family Days are NOT considered holidays.
RESERVATIONS Travel trailers, boats, grills and utility trailers can be reserved up to 30 days in advance. All other items are checked out on a first come, first served basis. Disable Vet Member pass program (DAV) must reserve in person.
RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before scheduled pick up or you will be charged ONE FULL DAY’S RENTAL for that item.
RENTAL EQUIPMENT DAMAGES AND DELINQUENCIES BE AWARE! The user is responsible for full restitution of value of any equipment lost, damaged or stolen. If you cannot return the items on schedule, contact our office to explain the situation; this may prevent additional charges. ALL ITEMS ISSUED WILL BE CHECKED UPON RETURN!
PLEASE INSPECT EACH ITEM CHECKED OUT BEFORE LEAVING THE FACILITY
Please take proper steps to inspect all equipment before you check it out and notify a staff member of any obvious damages or lack of cleanliness; this may prevent additional charges. If no problem is noted on the receipt or checklist, it will be assumed the equipment is issued in good, clean, damage-free condition. Damage or loss of any items will be charged to the user for the cost to repair or replace the item in accordance with base regulations.
REFUNDS Refunds will be issued ONLY by approval of the Director of Outdoor Recreation. Other than special circumstances (i.e. medical emergency, deployment or other military job related tasking), absolutely NO refunds will be issued. Proper official documentation is required for special circumstances.

This two-day course is for individuals that are interested in taking the first steps to learn how to hard-shell whitewater kayak. Intro To Mountain Biking
In our Introduction to Mountain Biking Trip you will learn about the bikes, essential gear, safety and responsibility on the trail, bike maintenance and more. Upon learning the basics of riding in the shop, we will take our adventure outdoors to Riverside State Park. This state park offers a multitude of bike trails and awe-inspiring views. This 10-12 mile bike ride will take you through forested land, the Devil’s Toenail, and also the Bowl and Pitcher. This 1.5-2 hour ride is great for beginner riders looking to experience and gain knowledge of our local recreation areas.

FAMCAMP CAMPSITES are allowed only one camping unit and one towing vehicle per site. Only RV’s that are registered as Class A, B or C may stay at FamCamp. Tiny homes on wheels that have not been registered in Washington State with an “RV” Classification are not authorized to stay at FamCamp. Please keep mats off the grass; no vehicle parking on grass between parking spaces and please keep your area clean and clear of clutter. QUIET HOURS

CLEAR LAKE RECREATION AREA
is designed to provide enjoyment for off-duty Fairchild Air Force Base personnel including active duty, retired military personnel, National Guard, active members of the Reserves, DoD civilian employees and family members. Located on the shores of Clear Lake, this 34 acre area is the perfect place for fishing, water skiing, swimming and boating. Clear Lake offers an assortment of picnic areas for your family or special group. Clear Lake also offers great camping Clear Lake Recreation Area opportunities including RV sites, (509)299-5129 or 247-5920 cabins, tent sites and a yurt. South 14824 Clear Lake Rd. Bring the kids! They will enjoy our 92 FSS Cheney, WA 99004 well-equipped playground.
Get To Know Clear Lake 29 BOATING
Boats (ski, fishing, pontoon, canoe and more) may be checked out for a reasonable fee (p. 30). Safety training is offered for all boats and is required prior to renting boats over 15 feet in length. Clear Lake Boating Safety training is available anytime you rent a boat. Ski and pontoon boat operators must view a 15 minute safety video at the Outdoor Recreation Center or on site. The Boater Safety course is good for the rest of the current year. No motorized boats will be rented to dependent children, only to a sponsor or spouse. The sponsor or spouse must be with the boat at all times — no exceptions. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in or around boats at any time. The individual who is issued the boat is responsible for any and all damages.
PICNIC AREAS
Four large picnic areas and seven shelters are available for group and squadron activities. Each area has several charcoal barbecue grills and picnic tables. Reservations for these areas can be made by calling 299-5129. There are also plenty of smaller picnic sites which require no reservations (see Reservations Policy p. 30).
SNACK BAR & CONVENIENCE STORE
A snack bar is provided for patron convenience offering a variety of fast food, grilled items, packaged snacks, ice cream, soft drinks and beer. Camping food items and supplies are also available.
FISHING
Clear Lake has a variety of fish: Trout, bass, catfish and crappie are stocked by the Washington Fish and Game Department. A Washington State fishing license is required (available at AAFES customer Service Counter). We permit fishing from a boat or fishing dock only. Rods and reels can be checked out and bait can be purchased at the Lodge. Clear Lake offers a wide array of tackle for all your fishing needs including bass fishing gear, trout gear, power bait and night crawlers.
SWIMMING
Swimming is permitted inside the beach area. Swim at your own risk because no lifeguards are on duty.
