Engine Codes: BMW 1.6d N47, 2.0d N47, 3.0d N57. MINI 1.6d N47 & 2.0d N47 Issue: The old style guide rails with their honeycomb design were prone to premature wear and exaggerating noise from the chain. Solution: The new guides have been reinforced with rubber to improve durability and also to dampen noise from the chain. The chain has also been re-engineered to improve performance and longevity by increasing the thickness of the chain links.
