The excitement is building as Bahrain revs up to host the opening race of the FIA 2023 Formula 1 World Championship at Bahrain International Circuit. This is a singular event that puts the Kingdom in the global spotlight like no other. Not only does it bring fans of the sport from around the world under one roof but also features a host of other exciting events. In this issue, we bring you the low-down on this year’s races, entertainment and more.
That’s not the only thing we’re charged about. This month also marks the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan. In Bahrain, this is a time when people from diverse backgrounds come together as one. In our cover story, the island’s residents, of different nationalities and occupational backgrounds, share their unique Ramadan traditions – a testament to the Kingdom’s cosmopolitan nature. We have also compiled a list of exciting Iftar and Ghabga events that you can experience. There’s a lot to see and do on the island this month. Our Listen Up section covers some really interesting cultural bits that you surely don’t want to miss. Our motoring section features the new and improved MG RX5. We also showcase the latest Volvo S60 – an outstanding ride offering a responsive driving experience.
