To date, I have saved the English language notebook which for the first time introduced me to the world of English language. Quite well-known English language teacher, Belgian Nikolai Volkov was giving English language lessons at the time. He was fluent in English and French and taught English through Russian language. He provided the illustrations for all of the topics, words and introduced a totally new world through play. At the time, when I graduated the school I was already quite fluent in English. From early childhood, I have never lost a connection and relationship with this language. At that time, families who taught foreign languages to their children were considered to be suspicious (learning and teaching English was a sort of way of communication with the outside world and was strongly disapproved by the government). My parents did not pay attention to this fact. I am grateful to them for providing with the opportunity to learn other languages along with my native language. I have used this knowledge very well in the long run. I traveled around the world and lived in overseas over the years. Teaching is a most beloved and pleasant activity for me. I started tutoring very early, when I was still a schoolboy. I deeply care for my students and one can clearly see that. I am glad that the process is bilateral. At first, I try to explain why it is worth studying foreign languages, whether it's worth spending time and how one can make use of this knowledge. I also try to explain that the language is an instrument for learning other things. It helps us to master our profession too. To know English is to swim in an ocean of information. Learning a language needs to serve some purpose and it should be useful. Nobody should learn something that cannot contribute to one’s own welfare. My personality was defined by the English language. I’m happy to have a profound rather not superficial knowledge of that language. I write in English at least once a week, for instance some article published in some newspaper. I have had thousands of students over the years. Many of them were able to make use of the English language and achieve success. I still keep a torn and worn-out journal at the Byron School with every students’ name written down. I have had a lot of distinguished students that I take pride in. I remember Nikusha Kikvadze, whom I taught English from childhood. He was able to make the good use of the knowledge. Currently, he is studying at a business school in Madrid. Maia Mtchedlidze, who was my student and who currently teaches the language herself, writes recommendations and is a highly qualified professional. Also, David Galdava was quite interesting student distinguished by extraordinary dedication and diligence. He has become a successful lawyer.

THE UNITES STATES

The English language opened up borders and brought me to the US. America seemed to personally crown me, accomplishing my development (I am a US citizen today). I learned one important thing - how to treat time, how to treat the work of others and mine as well, how to turn my work into a real business - how to live righteously. Georgia is my driving force and I would not trade this small piece of land to anything else. I am entangled in its culture and language, but I am grateful to the US and I respect this country very much. The United States was created by education. The university system of this pragmatic country represents the world’s brain. It dictates to the world how to live. The US government is unable to breathe without university knowledge. The administration takes advice from universities on primary issues. They dictate how the country should live. This system enables you to make proper moves on a chess board. America is an incredible example of education which is pragmatic, results oriented and is being used properly.

ინგლისური, რომელმაც განმსაზღვრა

დღემდე მაქვს შენახული ინგლისური ენის რვეული, რომლითაც პირველად ვეზიარე ინგლისურენოვან სამყაროს. სახლში დადიოდა მასწავლებელი, იმ დროისთვის ქალაქში საკმაოდ ცნობილი პედაგოგი- ბელგიელი ნიკალაი ვოლკოვი. ის თავისუფლად ფლობდა ინგლისურს და ფრანგულ ენებს. ინგლისურს გვასწავლიდა რუსული ენის მეშვეობით. გვისურათებდა თემებს, სიტყვებს და თამაშ-თამაშით შევყავდით ახალ სამყაროში. სკოლის დასრულებისას
