About FACCA Finance and Consulting Club Aarhus (FACCA) is a student association whose aim is to improve the link between students at Aarhus University and the concurrent job market. We accomplish this by signing partnership agreements with best-in-class companies, both domestically and internationally. Since our launch in 2010, we have proved to be an ideal platform for interaction between our more than 750 members and our 25 top tier corporate partners. We are one of the largest student associations in Aarhus and we host more than 20 exciting and instructive events every year. The Executive Board of FACCA continuously invests efforts in actively engaging students at Aarhus University with an interest in the finance and consulting industry. What we do

Through FACCA Distinctions members can engage in exclusive challenges and opportunities, to showcase their skills and ambition to best-in-class corporate partners.

Resources

FACCA Events are designed for our members to advance their insights and skills while networking with both participating corporate partners and other FACCA members.

Distinctions

Events

In FACCA we have built our organization with the purpose of delivering value to our members. Therefore, we have designed our organization around the following three pillars:

Through FACCA Resources members gain access to valuable, up-to-date information on jobs, events and partner content. Furthermore, our members can also engage directly with the FACCA Alumni Network.

FACCA Innovation

FACCA Innovation is an extension to each channel and is based on input from corporate partners, members and the Executive Board Members. We encourage you to share your ideas. We are listening.

FACCA Events The FACCA Events are designed for a broad audience with the purpose of offering our members the opportunity to gain insight into the corporate world. The events usually consist of presentations from more than one company in order to illuminate a subject from different perspectives. All events have a specific focus inspired by recent cases or current economic circumstances. Moreover, it is important that the events include an academic content to ensure that our members establish a link between the theoretical curriculum taught at the university and the practical execution.

8

The events can be arranged as presentations at Aarhus University or visits to the premises of our corporate partners, where you get the opportunity to explore the atmosphere. We continuously seek to arrange our events in a way that actively includes the participants, e.g. through case solving. The idea is to give our members a feeling of being “on the job, while the corporate partner gets the opportunity to assess the professional capabilities of the individual participant. All events include a networking session where our members get to socialize with one another and with representatives from the partner companies.

“Through FACCA Events we got in contact with several top students, who are now employed at Quartz+Co (Mathias Leth Nielsen, Management Consultant at Quartz+Co.)

9

FACCA Groups FACCA Groups bring members together with the purpose of hands-on practice. Examples are case competitions and case-solving when preparing for job interviews. An increasing number of employers use case-solving intensively in the job interview process when recruiting new candidates. Knowing how to crack the interview-case and present your results has become a vital factor

whenever you want to excel in a competitive job market. Similarly, case competitions are an activity valued by an increasing number of our members. FACCA Groups are set up to facilitate training and help you acquire the skills needed. We seek to invite relevant aspirators, and we always welcome new group arrangements.

PREPLOUNGE To improve your chances of landing the job of your dreams we have teamed up with the online interview preparation platform, Preplounge. We will use FACCA Groups to show you how you can get the most out of your training with Preplounge. You can try out Preplounge for free at www.preplounge.com or purchase a premium account at a discount using the vouchers found in the resources section at www.facca.dk.

10

Investment Camp Aarhus … … is a joint venture between FACCA and FinanceLab Aarhus in close collaboration with Danish and international corporate partners (in 2012 DONG Energy, Nordea, Bloomberg and Nykredit participated). ICA aims at training selected members to become highly efficient and skillful employees within the financial sector. This is done by dividing the participants into small groups allowing the students to dig deeper into a particular financial issue suggested by the corporate partners. At each workshop short cases are solved and potential solutions to the cases are presented.

Seats are limited and early registration is recommended.

11

Educational Courses During the year we offer some educational courses in order to supply you with skills highly demanded by our corporate partners but not directly offered at the university. The purpose of the courses is simple: To upgrade the skillset among members of FACCA to strengthen their current education and qualify them for their future career. To make sure that we provide courses that are truly value-adding in the corporate world,

we always get inspiration from our corporate partners. The courses have found high popularity among members and are applauded by our partners. Previous courses include the two day intensive VBA course where more than 200 members got an insight into the world of programming and improved their skills within Excel.

“The VBA course enabled me to start using the power of programming at my student job as well as at the university (Nicolai Lahrmann, HA, 5th semester)
